Is an interpreter for the games written between 1985 and
1990 by Magnetic Scrolls. Although the Magnetic Scrolls adventures were
well known for the use of their quality graphics, this interpreter does
not display any, only text! You'll need some Magnetic Scrolls adventures.
These are still copyright so you'll need to get these yourself somehow,
there are various places on the Internet to get them and various tools to
extract them from copies you own. |

During the 1980s a small British company called Level
9, run by two brothers (Mike and Pete Austin), produced a series of text
adventure games for a variety of computers. These games received considerable
critical acclaim and are probably the best text adventures written for the
small cassette based 8 bit computers common in Britain in the 80s. |

Tads adventures work in a similar way to Infocom adventures
(using FrotzS5) except they use a completely different format and are not
compatible with each other. Tads is second only to Infocom in the number
of adventure titles available for it. |

Is a very simple game, where the objective is to remember numbers
that the computer displays. Using the concept of first-in-first-out, the
player must repeat and remove the oldest number from the stack and then
add the new number displayed.

Simon Quinn has released the sources for HUGO an aventure
game for the Psion. Heavy use has been made of the STDLIB to port the code.
The HUGO engine itself has not been changed, there is a wrapper for the
user interaction that interfaces with EPOC using a multithreaded architecture
to make the porting easier. |
